Acceptable use

Responsible access.
Respectful participation.

These rules protect the people, information and systems involved in USG’s public, participation and service pathways.

Website policyReviewed: 3 October 2026
01

Expected use

Use USG services lawfully, honestly and only for the purpose offered. Provide accurate account and application information, protect access credentials, respect other users and follow any service, community or professional rules attached to the route you use.

02

Prohibited conduct

  • illegal, fraudulent, deceptive, discriminatory, threatening or abusive activity;
  • unauthorised access, credential sharing, security testing, malware or interference;
  • scraping, bulk extraction or automated access not expressly permitted;
  • uploading content you lack the right or authority to use;
  • sending confidential, passport or case material through an unprotected route;
  • misrepresenting endorsement, membership, centre status, professional role or USG approval; and
  • using a service to evade sanctions, anti-bribery, export, financial-crime or other applicable controls.
03

Content and communications

Submissions must distinguish evidence, experience and opinion. Do not publish personal data about another person without authority, reveal confidential information, manipulate dialogue, or present general content as universally applicable professional advice.

04

Accounts, workspaces and restricted copies

Protect your account and report suspected compromise promptly. Account activity may be investigated, but responsibility is assessed on the evidence and applicable law, not assumed solely because an account identifier appears. Organisation administrators must allocate access responsibly and remove authority when it is no longer required.

Do not share personal verification links, recovery messages, passwords or access rights. Do not use another person’s Professional ID, an organisation’s reference or a document number to impersonate its holder or evade permissions. Restricted publications and confidential workspace content must not be redistributed outside the applicable permission or licence.

05

Proportionate action and review

Depending on severity, USG may warn, remove content, limit a feature, preserve relevant evidence, suspend access, notify an authorised organisation administrator or competent authority, or take steps available under contract or law. Immediate protective action may be necessary where there is a credible security, safety or confidentiality risk.

Where lawful and practicable, the affected person will be told the main reason, scope and any steps required for reinstatement, and how to seek review through complaints@universalsustainablegrowth.org. Information may be withheld where necessary to protect another person, an investigation or system security. Review must be carried out by an appropriate non-conflicted person not involved in the original decision. Access is restored or restrictions adjusted where the reason no longer justifies them.

These measures do not create an automatic decision about entitlement to a refund or amend the Refund & Cancellation Policy.

06

Reporting concerns

Report suspected abuse, impersonation, unsafe content or security concerns through Complaints and Incident Response. Do not publicly disclose a vulnerability before a safe reporting and remediation opportunity.

07

Responsible use of verification

Use a verification result only for its stated purpose and current context. Do not alter it, present an expired result as current, imply a wider qualification or appointment, or combine public results into an unauthorised profile or marketing list. Public access to a status query is not permission for bulk extraction of personal records.

Report suspected impersonation, incorrect status or misuse to the relevant USG department or compliance@universalsustainablegrowth.org. Do not circulate confidential evidence in a public report.
